To force something so intrusive on a userbase is not only in poor taste, but will definitely cause defection. If you made it optional those that want it or need it could use it and be happy that Intuit created it and for all the rest (90% of users) they could disable it. This "feature" is unnecessary especially for small businesses or one-man operations and, in my opinion as well as others, actually decreases security by forcing those that remain offline to have an online account. We know there are not many alternatives to QB, BUT with problems like this someone will take the time to compete. They have ALL decided to research alternative accounting solutions.
